This data repository documents the results of comprehensive research on the experimental modeling of synthetic fiber ropes and their application in cable robots. The work was conducted as part of a dissertation of Thomas Reichenbach and a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG project number: 470674716). The repository comprises three core components that together form a complete research environment for investigating slip phenomena in synthetic fiber ropes: Analysis Toolbox - A specially developed software toolbox for analyzing and evaluating experimental data from synthetic fiber ropes. The toolbox enables systematic investigation of slip behavior and its compensation in cable-driven robotic systems. Testbed Software - A comprehensive software environment for experimental execution and control of tests with synthetic fiber ropes. This software serves as the foundation for systematic data acquisition and enables reproducible experiments for characterizing rope behavior. Measurement Data - A structured dataset containing experimental measurement data that documents the behavior of synthetic fiber ropes under various operating conditions. This data forms the empirical basis for developing models for slip compensation.
