Die Herkunft der Geräte konnte mit Hilfe des Identifizierungsträgers und den dazugehörigen Archivalia (A-Luftwaffenparkregiment I Erding, 1965) festgestellt werden. Eingesetzt waren die Wendezeiger dieses Typ in einer Harvard MK IV. Die Nr. AA-169 auf dem Gerät weist auf einen Einsatz des Flugzeuges in der Flugführerschule in Landsberg hin.
