5000 Pointing and Control Subsystem

This dataverse contains the configuration controlled documentation for the SOFIA Telescope Assembly subsystem 5000 Pointing and Control Subsystem (PCS): The Pointing Control System consists of several subsystems to achieve the pointing accuracy and stability.

The SOFIA TA Technology and Operations Archive Manual contains a guide how to use the archive as well as an overview of the SOFIA TA Hardware Breakdown Structure (HBS).

The PCS component is organized according to the HBS and contains subsystems as listed in the following tree structure:
