This dataverse contains the configuration controlled documentation for the SOFIA Telescope Assembly subsystem 4300 Balancing Subassembly (BS): Due to the difference in Science Instruments the Telescope has to be balanced in three axis according to every new configuration. Comprises coarse-plates and fine balancing system.
The SOFIA TA Technology and Operations Archive Manual contains a guide how to use the archive as well as an overview of the SOFIA TA Hardware Breakdown Structure (HBS).
The BS component is organized according to the HBS and contains subsystems as listed in the following tree structure:
