Bei diesem Kurskreisel handelt es sich um ein Gerät, welches in einer Vielzahl amerkanischer Flugzeuge während des Zweiten Weltkrieges verbaut wurden Nachgewiesen werden konnte dieser Kurskreisel in folgenden Flugzeugen: P40, P51, B17, B24, B25, A26. - Vgl. zu diesem Kurskreisel auch die weiterem Kurskreisel, welche die Nummer AN5731-1 aufweisen. Diese können zwar von anderen Firmen sein, sind jedoch alle baugleich, da sie in Lizenz von Sperry gebaut wurden. Bedingt ist diese gleiche Bauart durch den Zweiten Weltkrieg, in der das Gerät standardmäßig in einer Vielzahl von Flugzeugen eingebaut war. - Dieses Gerät wird pneumatisch betrieben. Daher konnte es nicht auf seine Funktionsfähigkeit geprüft werden. Es sollte allerdings funktionsfähig sein, sobald Druckluft angeschlossen wird
