This dataverse groups all external objects that were digitised to enhance the gyroscope collection. The objects themselves belong to private collectors and the Deutsches Museum in Munich.

The collection is structued analogous to Stuttgart's collection by dataverses for each object.

Information about the digitisation strategy for all objects can be found in the documentation dataset: Niklaus, Maria, 2021, "Information about the Gyrolog data repository", doi: 10.18419/darus-821, DaRUS.

Data for each object can consist of one or more of the following:

  • unsorted pictures taken for each object (2D pictures datasets)
  • computer tomographic data for interior view of each objects (3D CT datasets)
  • photogrammetric data for outside view of objects (3D photogrammetric datasets)
  • endoscopic data for inside view of objects (3D endoscopy datasets)
  • 3D model for animation and smartphone applications (3D model datasets)
